17-year-old volunteer firefighter in ICU after head-on crash

Car Crash Ariel Washington in Ariel, Washington: A 17-year-old volunteer firefighter, Riggin Bliss, was involved in a head-on crash on Lewis River Road in Ariel, Washington, when another driver traveling northbound crossed into his lane. Bliss was trapped in his truck for about 20 minutes before being extracted and is recovering in the ICU. The other driver, 76-year-old John Jessup of La Center, was LifeFlighted to a local hospital and charged with vehicular assault by Washington State Patrol.
