17-year-old volunteer firefighter in ICU after head-on crash

Car Crash Ariel Washington in Ariel, Washington: A 17-year-old volunteer firefighter, Riggin Bliss, was involved in a head-on crash on Lewis River Road in Ariel, Washington, when another driver traveling northbound crossed into his lane. Bliss was LifeFlighted to a hospital and was recovering in the ICU. The other driver, 76-year-old John Jessup of La Center, was also severely injured and LifeFlighted to a local hospital, and was charged with vehicular assault by Washington State Patrol.
