17-year-old volunteer firefighter in ICU after head-on crash
Car Crash Ariel Washington in Ariel, Washington: A 17-year-old volunteer firefighter, Riggin Bliss, was involved in a head-on crash on Lewis River Road in Ariel, Washington, when another driver traveling northbound crossed into his lane. Bliss was airlifted to a hospital and remained in the ICU. The other driver, 76-year-old John Jessup of La Center, was LifeFlighted to a local hospital and charged with vehicular assault by Washington State Patrol. Bliss's older brother, another volunteer firefighter, responded to the crash and helped treat both victims.
