Hit And Run Albuquerque New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico: On June 24, 2026, an Albuquerque Police Department officer patrolling the War Zone observed an Infiniti SUV with a suspended license plate and registration near the intersection of San Pedro and Bell SE. When the officer attempted a traffic stop, the SUV initially began to pull over but then fled, colliding with another vehicle while traveling southbound. The SUV then struck fencing at Jack and Jill Park, lost a wheel, and continued on three wheels before turning north onto California St., where two occupants bailed out and ran from police. The male driver escaped, while the female passenger, 43-year-old Elisia Jaramillo, was apprehended and cited for leaving the scene of an accident and resisting/evading/obstructing an officer; the innocent victim of the initial crash was checked by AFR for injuries.
