Vehicle Fire Pasco Washington in Pasco, Washington: Two California men died Wednesday afternoon after their Cessna 195 airplane struck a power line and crashed into the Pasco side of the Columbia River. The impact severed a power line, triggering a brush fire near Riverview Park that Pasco firefighters extinguished, and disabled the Butterfield Water Treatment Plant. The aircraft capsized and drifted downstream, and a multi-agency response involving the Coast Guard, Columbia Basin Dive Rescue, and local sheriffs worked to secure the scene. The NTSB is investigating the crash.
