Drowning Houston Texas in Houston, Texas: Annelise Camp, a 2-year-old girl, suffered a drowning accident on Memorial Day and was taken to Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, where doctors sought to declare her brain dead. Her family, working with Texas Right to Life and other advocates, obtained a court order preventing brain death testing and protecting her access to a ventilator.
