Pedestrian Hit Salem Oregon in Salem, Oregon: A man believed to be in his early 50s was killed on June 24, 2026, after being struck by a train in southeast Salem, Oregon. Officers responded at about 4:37 p.m. to a report of a train-versus-pedestrian crash at 4055 Turner Road SE. The southbound train was traveling on tracks beneath Interstate 5 and was unable to stop in time. Union Pacific Police is leading the investigation.
