Bicycle Crash Ana County New Mexico in Ana County, New Mexico: On June 22, 2026, at 2:46 p.m., a bicyclist was struck by a black Cadillac Escalade on Fairacres Road in Doña Ana County, New Mexico, and died at the scene. Witnesses saw the driver exit the vehicle, then get back in and drive away, leaving the bicyclist behind. Investigators used a partial license plate photo, traffic and security cameras, and GPS data to track the vehicle to a residence owned by Kimberly Skaggs, 54, a New Mexico Republican Party official, where they found fresh damage and blood splatter on the vehicle. Skaggs was arrested Wednesday and held without bail on charges of leaving the scene of an accident involving death and tampering with evidence.
