Three Women Dead in South Philly Murder-Suicide Case
Shooting Pennsylvania Today in Pennsylvania: Three women from the same family were found dead on Monday evening, June 24, 2026, inside a home on the 2800 block of South 10th Street in South Philadelphia after a shooting that police are investigating as an apparent double murder-suicide. Philadelphia police responded at about 5:30 p.m. and found 18-year-old Angelina Picano, 55-year-old Denise Grottini, and 67-year-old Janice Picano with gunshot wounds to the head. All three were pronounced dead at the scene at 5:38 p.m., and a firearm was recovered inside the residence. Police have not released a motive, and the Homicide Unit is continuing the investigation.
