Three identified in Spanaway high-speed crash

Dui Crash Spanaway Washington in Spanaway, Washington: Three people died in a high-speed crash on June 19 at about 8:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Military Road East in Spanaway, Washington. The driver, Maurice Donnelle Brooks, 48, of Tacoma, was driving at high speed and tried to avoid colliding with a man mowing his front lawn, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office. Brooks and back-seat passenger Keanae Mahealani Kaanapu Kelly Omoto, 37, of Puyallup, were found dead at the scene, while front-seat passenger Janet Linkee, 53, of Seattle, was transported to the hospital in life-threatening condition and later died. The Sheriff's Office said it is believed alcohol was a factor in the collision.
