Pedestrian Hit Viera Florida in Viera, Florida: A 15-year-old Melbourne boy, Isaiah Irizarry, was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday in Viera, Florida, while riding an electric scooter along Viera Boulevard near Independence Avenue. Florida Highway Patrol said a 2009 Hyundai Genesis traveling east on Viera Boulevard veered onto the right shoulder and struck Isaiah, who was riding in the same direction. The driver fled the scene; Isaiah was taken to a hospital where he died from a severe brain injury. Troopers later located a vehicle about 1.5 miles south of the crash site with damage consistent with the collision, but no arrest had been announced.
