Shooting Kansas City Alabama in Kansas City, Alabama: Oscar Sanchez-Munoz, 22, allegedly shot at a car in Wyandotte County, Kansas, on June 24, 2026, and then on June 16, 2026, he allegedly shot at five cars along Interstate 70 in Kansas City, Missouri, killing one person and wounding four. On the night of June 16, Sanchez-Munoz barricaded himself inside a house in Independence, Missouri, and engaged in a standoff with police; the house later caught fire. Relatives later found a body in the basement of the house, and police preliminarily believe it is Sanchez-Munoz, pending medical examiner confirmation.
