Shooting Kansas City Alabama in Kansas City, Alabama: Oscar Sanchez-Munoz, 22, allegedly shot at a car in Wyandotte County, Kansas, on June 11, and then on June 16, he allegedly shot at five cars along Interstate 70 in Kansas City, Missouri, killing one person and wounding four. On the night of June 16, Sanchez-Munoz barricaded himself inside a house in Independence, Missouri, and engaged in a standoff with police. The house caught fire during the night, and after firefighters extinguished the blaze, Sanchez-Munoz was not found inside. On Wednesday, relatives going through the damaged house called detectives after noticing a smell of decomposition in the basement and discovering what they believed to be a body; responding officers found a body in clothing consistent with what Sanchez-Munoz was wearing the night of the shootings.
