Rise in e-bike and escooter injuries at Pro-Health Care
Ebike Crash Jackson Wisconsin in Jackson, Wisconsin: ProHealth Care emergency departments in Waukesha County reported a sharp rise in e-bike and e-scooter injuries, particularly among children and teens. In the prior two months, the system's three emergency departments treated more than 30 patients involved in e-bike and e-scooter crashes, compared with 19 pedal bike accidents. Earlier in June, an e-bike operator struck a motor vehicle on Highway 60 at Jackson Drive in Jackson after attempting to pass on the right shoulder; the rider sustained treatable injuries. In May, a Butler Middle School student in Waukesha was hit by a car while riding an e-bike to school and was taken to a hospital.
