Car Crash Iona Idaho in Iona, Idaho: A four-vehicle crash northwest of Iona, Idaho on U.S. Highway 26 at the intersection of East 49th North left a 59-year-old Ririe woman dead and shut down the highway for about five hours. A 2019 Nissan NV200 van heading eastbound on East 49th North failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a 2017 Dodge Challenger driven by the Ririe woman, who was traveling eastbound on Highway 26. The impact pushed the Dodge into the westbound lanes, where it collided with a 2017 Ford F250 and a 2008 Ford Focus. The Dodge's driver was taken to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries, and the F250's driver was also taken to a nearby hospital. Idaho State Police are investigating the crash.
