On June 7, officers responded to US-136 at northbound MO-129 and found a struck road sign and a rear car bumper with license plate on the shoulder. Cullers-Arnold told police he was driving two people home from a party, swerved to avoid a deer, wrecked the car, and left the scene after the two passengers encouraged him to flee. He was arrested and showed police where his vehicle was located, confirming it was involved in the crash.
