Pedestrian Hit Half Moon Bay California in Half Moon Bay, California: A lifeguard driving a pickup truck struck a 20-year-old woman who was lying on the sand at Francis Beach in Half Moon Bay on Wednesday afternoon. Authorities said the lifeguard may have been distracted at the time of the collision. The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office said the woman was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
