Police investigate fatal crash in the Town of Gallatin

Motorcycle Crash Of Elizaville Arkansas in of Elizaville, Arkansas: On June 21, 2026, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a 2014 Ducati motorcycle operated by Nicholas H. Hedges, 30, of Red Hook, NY, lost control in the area of Jackson Corners Road and Hoefer Road in the Town of Gallatin, sliding from the eastbound lane into the westbound lane and striking a 2025 Kia head-on. The Kia was operated by Michael Mojica, 43, of Elizaville, NY, who along with a front seat passenger were transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Hedges was pronounced deceased at the scene. The New York State Police were dispatched by Columbia County 911 and were assisted by the Greenport Rescue Squad and the Livingston Fire Department.
