Shooting Wilmington Delaware in Wilmington, Delaware: Wilmington Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that left a 19-year-old man dead late Wednesday night in the city's East Side. The incident occurred at approximately 11:12 p.m. in the area of 24th and Jessup Streets. Officers on patrol observed a large crowd and saw a 19-year-old male exit a residence armed with a handgun and point the firearm toward the crowd; the suspect fled on foot and an officer discharged their firearm during the foot pursuit, striking him. The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Kadir Skinner, was transported to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries. The involved officer was not injured.
