Pedestrian struck, killed by train on Union Pacific tracks…

Pedestrian Hit Salem Alabama in Salem, Alabama: A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Union Pacific train on the railroad tracks just off Turner Road in Salem on June 24. Salem Police officers responded to a call about a crash between a pedestrian and a train at 4055 Turner Road SE at about 4:37 p.m. and found the man dead upon arriving. The train was moving south beneath Interstate 5 and could not stop in time. Union Pacific Police will lead the ongoing investigation.
