PD: Man shot self during police encounter Shelbyville

Shooting Shelbyville Indiana in Shelbyville, Indiana: Shelbyville Police Department officers attempted to make contact with the occupant of a vehicle who was a person of interest from Terre Haute traveling into Shelbyville. The person, who had what appeared to be a shotgun, fatally shot themselves during the encounter. No officers discharged their firearms and no law enforcement personnel were injured. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
