Semi Truck Crash Clear Lake Iowa in Clear Lake, Iowa: A north Iowa man driving a 2021 Ford Edge east on 170th Street in Clear Lake attempted a left turn and failed to see an oncoming 2017 Freightliner semi, according to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's Office. The Ford struck the semi and spun into a ditch on Grouse Avenue, where the vehicle became engulfed in flames. The driver and a 14-year-old passenger escaped the burning car and were transported to MercyOne North Iowa with possible injuries; the semi driver was uninjured. The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's Department is investigating the crash.
