One stabbed in Wellesley, suspect in custody

Assault Wellesley Massachusetts in Wellesley, Massachusetts: A 26-year-old man allegedly fatally stabbed his 58-year-old father at the Phillips Park playground in Wellesley on Thursday evening shortly before 6 p.m. Wellesley police responded to a 911 call reporting a stabbing near 324 Washington St., where the victim was found with at least one stab wound. The victim was transported to Newton Wellesley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The suspect, James Floyd Bennett III, turned himself into police and is expected to be arraigned Friday in Dedham District Court.
