Old Orchard beach man struck, killed by Amtrak train

Pedestrian Hit Old Orchard Beach Maine in Old Orchard Beach, Maine: A 51-year-old Old Orchard Beach man was struck and killed by an Amtrak train traveling north near 133 Temple Ave. in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, shortly before 2:20 p.m. Thursday. Witnesses told police the man was walking alone near the railroad tracks moments before he was struck. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene, and police said alcohol appears to have been a factor. The incident remains under investigation.
