Shooting Detroit Georgia in Detroit, Georgia: Detroit police responded to ShotSpotter alerts around 9:40 p.m. on Detroit's west side near Burgess between I-96 and Fenkell, where they found a 20-year-old man dead and a 7-year-old boy with gunshot wounds to his stomach and legs several homes away. The child was taken into surgery and remains in critical condition. Police took approximately 10 hours to locate the child's family and are seeking public tips as no suspect has been identified.
