Motorcycle Crash Portsmouth Rhode Island in Portsmouth, Rhode Island: A 65-year-old motorcyclist, Mark Smith, was struck by a car driven by Lesslie McDowell, 38, of Johnston, as he was turning left onto West Main Road in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. Smith was rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. McDowell was charged with driving under the influence resulting in serious bodily injury.
