Motorcyclist, deer killed in Lynchburg crash

Motorcycle Crash Lynchburg Virginia in Lynchburg, Virginia: A motorcycle rider and a deer were killed in a crash on Route 501 in Lynchburg, Virginia, just after midnight on Thursday, June 25, 2026, according to the Boonsboro Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company. Rescue 3 responded to the scene and both the rider and the deer succumbed to their injuries. The highway was temporarily shut down and the investigation was turned over to Virginia State Police.
