Man killed in Mississippi County hit-and-run

Pedestrian Hit Arkansas Today in Arkansas: A 53-year-old man died after he was struck by a vehicle Monday morning in Mississippi County, Arkansas. Arkansas State Police said the crash happened at 10:24 a.m. June 22 at the intersection of state highways 137 and 312. A preliminary fatal crash report said Mark Anthony West of El Paso was in the roadway near his parked vehicle when he was struck. The vehicle that hit him left the scene, and West was taken to Great River Regional Hospital, where he died of his injuries. State police said it was rainy and road conditions were wet at the time of the crash.
