Pedestrian Hit Florida Today in Florida: A man was struck by a car on Thursday night in Miami-Dade County and later died. Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office responded at about 8:45 p.m. to reports of a pedestrian traffic crash near 89th Place and West Flagler Street. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead. The driver, also a man, stayed at the scene, and the MDSO Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash.
