Hit And Run Hobe Sound Florida in Hobe Sound, Florida: Around 9 p.m. on a Thursday night, Eliuvar Garza, 24, of Stuart, allegedly ran a stop sign while driving at least 50 mph in a 25 mph zone, tore through palm trees, went airborne over a chain-link fence, and crashed his mother's car into a large main transmission water pipe at the South Martin Regional Utility water treatment plant in Hobe Sound, causing water to gush out and disrupting service to about 7,000 customers. Garza then fled the scene and was later found by Martin County sheriff's deputies. A family member took him to the hospital with crash-related injuries, and deputies did not physically arrest him because the hospital believed he had internal injuries. Officials noted he had no driver's license and mentioned possible diabetic or drunk conditions.
