Man caught in wreck saves dog from burning semi on I-64

The semitrailer veered from its lane into a dump truck, dragging it 400 feet and nearly catapulting it over the median. The semitrailer driver, Jeffrey Simons, 63, of Iowa, died in the incident. Another man caught in the wreck, Kris Pelfrey, escaped his vehicle and pulled a dog from the burning semitrailer before police took the dog to a shelter.
