Shooting Roanoke Rapids North Carolina in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina: Two local teenagers, Mariah Thompson, 15, and Patrick Shane Faircloth, 20, were shot to death Monday afternoon in the area of Vance and West Eleventh streets in Roanoke Rapids. A Roanoke Rapids Police Officer in the area at the time spotted a vehicle fleeing the area; the driver was stopped a short distance away, detained, then released after questioning. The three had reportedly been in Roanoke Rapids so Thompson could visit her boyfriend.
