Hit-and-run arrest made after NJ women killed walking home…

Pedestrian Hit Newark Massachusetts in Newark, Massachusetts: Two women, 58-year-old Elizabeth Valverde Beltran and 61-year-old Maria Isabel DeLosAngeles Salgado Ayala, were struck by a vehicle while in the crosswalk at the intersection of Park Avenue and North 7th Street in Newark, N.J., on Saturday. Both were taken to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead. A 26-year-old man, Zapata-Vera, fled the scene and surrendered to police three days later, facing charges including two counts of second-degree vehicular homicide and two counts of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death.
