Hit And Run Machesney Park Illinois in Machesney Park, Illinois: On June 11, 2026, Harlem Township Assessor Jon Vaiden, 49, of Machesney Park, allegedly drove a blue Chevrolet Silverado north on a North Second Street service road near a Jimmy John's parking lot in Harlem Township, then veered westbound onto a side road and crashed into a Tesla, deploying the Tesla's airbags. The Tesla driver, who had a baby in his car, suffered minor hand and knee pain but declined medical treatment at the scene. After briefly exiting the Silverado to yell at the Tesla driver, Vaiden left the scene.
