Great Falls man charged following downtown stabbing

Assault Great Falls Montana in Great Falls, Montana: A 46-year-old Great Falls man, Leslie Dean Gross, has been charged with one felony count of assault with a weapon following an alleged stabbing in downtown Great Falls shortly after midnight on Wednesday. A Cascade County sheriff's deputy spotted a group of people fighting around 12:20 a.m. Investigators say Gross admitted he was involved in the fight but did not admit to the stabbing, and surveillance video allegedly shows him fighting with the victim and making movements believed to be consistent with the stabbing. Prosecutors are requesting he be held on a $50,000 bond.
