Former Powell teacher saves woman and infant
Car Crash Cody Wyoming in Cody, Wyoming: A Wyoming Department of Transportation maintenance employee, Ty Myers, was plowing snow south of Cody in the early morning hours a few days before Christmas when he noticed tire tracks in the snow. He climbed approximately 30 feet down a snow-packed icy embankment to reach a 1997 gray Lincoln passenger vehicle that had crashed. Inside, he found a female driver and an infant trapped in the vehicle; the woman was in pain from injuries suffered during the accident and cold, and was worried about her child. Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper Brett Tillery credited Myers with ensuring the safety of both crash victims and the traveling public, and Myers was later awarded a recognition for his actions.
