Hit And Run Las Cruces New Mexico in Las Cruces, New Mexico: Former New Mexico Republican Party Treasurer Kimberly Ann Skaggs, 54, was arrested Wednesday and charged with leaving the scene of a deadly crash and tampering with evidence in connection with a hit-and-run crash that occurred Monday afternoon in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The crash killed 40-year-old bicyclist Andrew Brown. Investigators alleged Skaggs was driving fast in the area, fled the scene after the crash, and attempted to hide the vehicle, a black Cadillac Escalade, which was later found behind a home under a red metal carport with damage consistent with the crash, including blood splatter near a front tire and markings on the front bumper consistent with striking a bicycle.
