Officers located the vehicle along Summer Avenue near Sycamore View Road and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver accelerated at a high rate of speed and crashed into a tree at the intersection of Summer Avenue and White Station Road. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the two children were pulled from the wreckage and hospitalized with non-critical injuries.
