Driver, passenger injured in 2-vehicle crash

Car Crash West Missouri in West, Missouri: Two Zalma women were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Cape Girardeau County on Wednesday morning, June 24. The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. on MO 74, about 1 mile west of Cape Girardeau. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 23-year-old Cape Girardeau man was driving west when his pickup truck turned into the path of an eastbound car and the car hit the side of the pickup. The driver of the car, a 64-year-old woman, was seriously injured and her 37-year-old passenger suffered moderate injuries; the pickup driver did not report injuries. Both women and the truck driver were wearing seat belts and both vehicles were totaled.
