Car Crash St Petersburg Florida in St Petersburg, Florida: A 72-year-old man was killed early Thursday morning in a head-on collision in St. Petersburg. A pickup truck traveling eastbound on 5th Avenue North crossed into the westbound lanes for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a van. The driver of the pickup truck, Charles Peter Caravana, 72, died at the scene, while the 67-year-old female driver of the van was injured and transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
