Car Crash Northborough Maryland in Northborough, Maryland: A wrong-way driver struck another vehicle head-on on Interstate 290 eastbound prior to Exit 27 in Northborough on Wednesday night just before 9 p.m., causing both vehicles to catch fire. The driver of one vehicle escaped and was taken by ambulance to UMass Memorial Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the second vehicle, identified as the wrong-way driver, could not be rescued and was pronounced dead at the scene. First responders spent nearly an hour using hydraulic rescue tools to remove the victim's body from the vehicle.
