County employee dies at Okanogan landfill fire
Vehicle Fire Washington Today in Washington: A 73-year-old Okanogan County Public Works employee, Larry Fingar, died after his water tender truck went off the roadway inside the Okanogan County Central Landfill complex and rolled down an embankment about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. Fingar had been driving the water tender to help suppress a rekindled fire on the landfill property. Rescuers who reached the truck declared him dead at the scene. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
