Community Supports Injured Deputy Following Wyoming Shooting
Shooting Baggs Wyoming in Baggs, Wyoming: A Carbon County Sheriff's Deputy was shot following a traffic stop in Baggs, Wyoming earlier this month. The incident began when the sheriff's office received a report of a man with a gun in the small town of Baggs near the Colorado state line. As soon as the deputy stopped his car, the suspect got out and opened fire with a semi-automatic rifle. The suspect was killed in a shootout with deputies after fleeing the scene where Sergeant Zach Burns was shot; Burns is steadily improving as he continues his recovery.
