Drowning Pennsylvania Today in Pennsylvania: A 9-year-old boy from Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, died days after being pulled from a hotel pool at the Days Inn by Wyndham on Hill Motor Lodge Road in Pocono Township. First responders were called to the scene around 7:30 p.m., and bystanders and emergency responders initiated life-saving measures before the boy was transported to a hospital. The Lehigh County Coroner pronounced the child dead Tuesday afternoon, ruling the cause of death as complications of drowning and the manner of death as an accident. The investigation is being conducted by the Lehigh County Coroner's Office, Pocono Township Police Department, and Monroe County District Attorney's Office.
