Charges pending in fiery Ga. 365 crash

The driver of a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude, Teresa Garrett Jones, 62, of McDonough, was traveling northbound on Cornelia Highway when the crash occurred. Jones's vehicle traveled forward after the initial collision and struck a 2022 Honda Accord, a 2016 Hyundai Elantra, and a 2006 Ford Expedition. The Jeep became fully engulfed in flames; Jones and another driver, Chavez, were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, and Jones remained hospitalized following surgery on a broken wrist. Charges were pending as of the report.
