Bicycle Crash Tennessee Today in Tennessee: A 70-year-old woman, Joyce Frey of Maryville, was struck and killed while riding her bicycle on the morning of the incident. Around 10:30 a.m., the Blount County Sheriff's Office responded to the 3800 block of Old Niles Ferry Road after a report of a woman found lying in a ditch and badly injured. Medics with AMR Ambulance Service called for a Life Star helicopter, and Frey was flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Deputies believe the death was the result of a hit-and-run and are searching for a black or dark blue newer model GMC full-size pickup truck.
