Assault Blackfoot Idaho in Blackfoot, Idaho: On June 21, officers with the Blackfoot Police Department were dispatched to a home in Blackfoot, Idaho, after a report of an ongoing fight. A 67-year-old man, Melvin Kirk Blackburn, allegedly grabbed a pair of nunchucks during an argument with a woman and struck her with them. The woman sustained a large bruise on her left arm and another bruise on her upper back. Blackburn was charged with felony aggravated battery with an enhancement due to the use of a deadly weapon.
