Semi Truck Crash Indiana Today in Indiana: Multiple crashes with multiple injuries were reported on the U.S. 20 Bypass in Elkhart County on Thursday afternoon. Officials responded to a five-car collision in which one vehicle had been flipped back onto its tires by bystanders prior to emergency crews arriving, while another pickup truck remained on its side; two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Separately, a 73-year-old Middlebury man driving a semi was heading west on the Bypass just west of County Road 7 around 1:30 p.m. when he slowed for another crash in front of him and his front end hit the concrete center median, causing the semi to jackknife; the semi driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the five-car crash remains under investigation by the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office.
