Ambulance catches fire in Colorado Springs

Vehicle Fire Colorado Springs Colorado in Colorado Springs, Colorado: An ambulance caught fire in Colorado Springs on Thursday afternoon while crews were responding to a medical emergency at a home. The fire broke out inside the ambulance at Monterey Road and Lassen Drive, across from Monterey Elementary School. Crews safely pulled the patient from the ambulance before the fire grew quickly and is expected to have totaled the vehicle. No injuries were reported, and a second ambulance was brought to transport the original patient.
