25-year-old man killed in head-on crash in Madera County

The California Highway Patrol said the crash occurred at the intersection of Avenue 18 1/2 and Road 9 at 6:30 p.m. The Toyota Tacoma driver failed to stop at the stop sign and entered the intersection directly into the Hyundai Tucson's path, causing the 25-year-old to be ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Hyundai driver was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
